Fixture function

Special fixtures are specially designed and manufactured to meet the processing requirements of a certain process of a certain workpiece. Its functions mainly include the following aspects:

1. Ensure the position accuracy of the processed surface of the workpiece, such as distance accuracy, parallelism, coaxiality, etc. from other surfaces. For workpieces that are relatively complex and require relatively high positional accuracy for laymen, it is often difficult to achieve accuracy requirements when using general-purpose fixtures for processing.

2. The process time is shortened, thereby improving labor productivity. The time required to perform a certain process mainly includes the maneuvering time required to process the workpiece and the auxiliary time required to load and unload the workpiece. After using a special fixture, the work of installing workpieces and changing workstations can be greatly simplified. Line drawing and alignment are no longer needed, which shortens the auxiliary time of the process and saves the line drawing process, thereby improving labor productivity. In production, due to the use of fixtures for parallel processing of multiple workpieces, the maneuvering time of several workpieces processed at the same time will be the same as the maneuvering time of processing one workpiece. The rotary multi-station continuous processing fixture can be used to process a certain workpiece while loading and unloading other workpieces, so that the auxiliary time and the maneuvering time coincide. In short, with the adoption and further improvement of special fixtures, the process time can be effectively shortened to meet the needs of continuous development of production.

3. The use of special fixtures can also expand the process range of machine tools. For example, after attaching a boring die fixture to an ordinary lathe, it can replace the boring machine; after installing a special fixture, the forming surface can be turned, so as to give full play to the role of the general machine tool.

4. Reduce labor intensity and ensure safe production. According to production needs, the use of some pneumatic, hydraulic or other mechanized and highly automated special fixtures can play a great role in reducing the labor intensity of workers, ensuring production safety and ensuring stable quality and high yield of products.
