Points to pay attention to in the basic operation of machine tools

1. The operator must pass the examination and obtain the operation certificate before operating. The operator should be familiar with the performance and structure of the machine, and must abide by the safety and shift handover system.

2. Before work, oil should be filled in strictly in accordance with the lubrication regulations, and the amount of oil should be kept appropriate, the oil circuit is smooth, the oil mark (window) is eye-catching, and the oil cup, oil line, linoleum, etc. are clean.

3. Check whether all parts are in good condition and run dry for about 10 minutes. Confirm that all parts are operating normally before starting work. If any abnormal operation, abnormal noise or excessive temperature rise is found during work, stop the machine and eliminate it.

4. The tool should be installed correctly and reliably. The extended part should not be too long. The gaskets should be straight and the same size. Generally, there should be no more than two pieces. It is prohibited to use pure tools for cutting.

5. Cutting of various systems, valves, cylinder pipelines, etc. of the hydraulic system must be confirmed after inspection and test run.

6. No tools, fixtures or sundries should be placed on the lathe. Work fixtures should be placed on the tool box or tool tray.

7. The workpieces loaded must be balanced, stable and reliable. It is not allowed to straighten the workpieces and tools on the lathe. When loading and unloading heavier workpieces and chucks, the whole board should be protected on the guide rail surface. Suspenders and hoisting methods should be reasonably selected to control the cutting amount and overload cutting is not allowed.

8. Before processing castings, the coolant should be wiped clean. After processing, the iron filings and powder on the bed surface, guide rails and sliding parts should be cleaned away.

9. It is forbidden to change speed and reverse braking during operation, and it is not allowed to use forward and reverse driving to load and unload the chuck.

10. Do not stop the machine until the cutting tool is separated from the workpiece.

11. The operator is not allowed to leave the lathe while it is in operation. If he needs to leave, he must stop the machine and cut off the power switch. When restarting, he must carefully check the position of each handle and whether the workpiece is loose before starting the machine.

12. After work, the cleaning equipment must be inspected, daily maintenance must be done, and each operating handle (switch) must be placed in neutral (zero position), and the power switch must be cut off to ensure neatness, cleanliness, lubrication, and safety.

13. Carefully fill in the daily inspection card and shift handover record.
