How is the floating chuck used?

　　After opening the package, first check whether all parts of the floating chuck are complete and whether the pin cotter pin is assembled correctly.

　　Before daily work, please carefully check whether the fastening screws are tightened and whether the pressure is normal.

　　The chuck claws can be radially adjusted according to the size of the workpiece, and the adjustment distance is based on the number of comb teeth (the pitch of each tooth is 1.5 mm).

　　Screw the floating chuck into the long hole of the slip bottom plate to fix the floating chuck on the wellhead platform of the workover rig.

　　Connect the air source to the air inlet and outlet pipe joints of the cylinder through pipes.

　　Floating chuck usage and precautions:

　　Before use, a no-load operation test should be carried out to carefully observe whether the various parts of the chuck are flexible and reliable, and whether the slips are stuck during the lifting process, etc.

　　When in use, the number of teeth of the adjusted jaws must be consistent, and the tooth surface should be kept clean and free of impurities. After adjustment, the screws on the clamp must be tightened. When replacing clamps, please note the serial number of the corresponding clamp.

　　During use, lubrication and maintenance work should also be performed on the sliding surfaces at all locations. The main locations for lubrication are the oil nozzle on the front cover of the chuck and the oil tank on the triple piece. Typically, ISOV32 or equivalent oil can be used. The chuck parts are refueled once per shift, and the chuck body is refueled with an oil gun.

　　Before clamping the drill pipe and oil pipe, it is also necessary to check the slip body, whether the specifications of the assembled tooth plate are the same as the outer diameter of the drill pipe and oil pipe used, and whether the assembly direction of the tooth plate is correct.

In order to increase the efficiency of the chuck and achieve better results, please ensure the stability of the air source and pressure. Do not use thin rubber tubes for remote docking. For short-distance docking, use a trachea with a pressure of no less than 1.6MPa, otherwise it will cause the trachea to burst.
